Lamp Revamp

It's about time I updated you all on a few of the projects that have been going on in our home.

There will be a few BIG changes while we prepare for Mrs Maxwell to arrive, until then I'll be posting about a couple of little tid bits that are slowly making our house a home!

Firstly: The Lamp Revamp!

Picked up this little beauty from my work and with just a little paint and sand it was ready to go...

Here it is in it's former glory, dark brown and gold - still pretty but not quite right for our place!

With a delicious coat of blue paint. Sorry, I mixed this colour up from a couple of the leftover samples I had in the garage. The closest colour I can suggest is Dulux "Calandre"

A quick sand to show up all the lovely detail, and a new shade and voila! Pretty little lamp for the family room.

Forever ago I was asking for help with our family room - well it's all done and painted and I love it, it's just always covered in toys and mess! So one of these days I'll get it looking good and post some photos for you all! Until then this is just a little preview :)

Muse Interiors

Hello!

It's been a while since I've been here :) Life has been a little crazy with work, weddings, markets, a beautiful baby girl and growing another little one in my tummy! But now that I've finished working and concentrating on my 2 babies hopefully I'll have a little more time for my blog and the billion projects I have planned to complete before Christmas and the arrival of Mrs Maxwell (Baby Girl #2 as named by her cousins Cameron & Sarah).

But before all that I've got a lot of catching up on everyone else's blog posts that I've missed! There are just too many creative people in this big wide world!

So today a little inspiration from Muse Interiors, a lovely company from the US (If you haven't noticed I'm a little obsessed with American decorating!). I love the fact that they have 2 categories in their portfolio - "Interiors" and "Details". Any stylist will tell you it's all about the details!! I hope you like it!

Beautiful Bedroom

House of Turquoise never ceases to inspire - and this is a room I want in my own house!!! So beautiful - I love the colours, the shape of the bedhead, the fabric, the lamp, the wall panelling, and those little hints of pink in the curtains, door knobs and the teacup!

Girls Weekend Away

Back home after a lovely girls weekend away in Bowral. We stayed in a gorgeous cottage just a few blocks from the main street (Good choice Jules!) - It was just perfect - Weatherboard clad, painted deep blue with white trims. Inside there was high ceilings, timber paneling, fireplace and a modern extension onto a cute cottage garden!

Now it's back to reality - house work and getting ready for the Erina Handmade Markets this Sunday at Erina High School - please come by and say hello!

Back in Blogland

We are back! Our computer had a little heart attack and it has taken a little while to get him fixed but finally, we are back to Blogland. I have so missed my daily inspiration!!!

But it's not like we haven't been busy... Izzy's big girl room is underway (stay tuned for updates), Mum's kitchen is selected, and most importantly there's been an engagement! Yep, my little bro Tom proposed to his girlfriend Bree last week and we are so happy for them! This means another Yarramalong wedding and a deadline for Mum's renovations. It's going to be another busy year!

But my current dilemma is choosing the perfect Blue/Grey colour for Isabelle's big girl room - something along these lines...
