Muse Interiors

Hello!

It's been a while since I've been here :) Life has been a little crazy with work, weddings, markets, a beautiful baby girl and growing another little one in my tummy! But now that I've finished working and concentrating on my 2 babies hopefully I'll have a little more time for my blog and the billion projects I have planned to complete before Christmas and the arrival of Mrs Maxwell (Baby Girl #2 as named by her cousins Cameron & Sarah).

But before all that I've got a lot of catching up on everyone else's blog posts that I've missed! There are just too many creative people in this big wide world!

So today a little inspiration from Muse Interiors, a lovely company from the US (If you haven't noticed I'm a little obsessed with American decorating!). I love the fact that they have 2 categories in their portfolio - "Interiors" and "Details". Any stylist will tell you it's all about the details!! I hope you like it!

Display Home Revamps - Part 2!

Here's another of the display homes I revamped last year. Black and white theme - a little Art Deco inspired, LOADS of stripes again! I would never be able to live here but it doesn't mean I love it any less!!

This is my absolute favourite bedroom at the moment! So punchy.

I just love bedrooms. Maybe I'll do those Adairs catalogues one day :)

Dining Room Makeover

My dining table is finished and I love it!

In the end it cost me $125 for the whole setting...

I bought it for $105 off ebay, used some paint my dad gave me for the chairs and legs, bought a pot of stain $15, some turps and brushes $5. I couldn't be happier!

Here's some befores so you can see why I'm so excited!

When we first moved in (December '09)
The table was my parents which they received as a wedding gift over 20 years ago...we restained it (It's now our office desk). The stools were free from Bayswiss!

Then we hung that beautiful mirror - 20kg!Then painted the walls...
And here's the finished product! I love the photo collage...Hopefully it will grow as our family does :)

So here's all the bits & pieces:

Walls - Taubmans "Gravelstone", Trims etc. - Dulux "Antique White USA", Dining chairs & table legs - Taubmans "Pebble Bay", Stain - Wattyl Stain & Varnish "Walnut"

A huge thankyou to Geoff who ran down to Sydney to pick up the table and to Bren who spent so long sanding that top! THANKYOU!
